ARTIST BIO

Leah Mariani is an emerging artist, currently studying a Graduate Certificate of Visual Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne.  She works in painting, collage and printmaking. She likes to combine oil painting with collage in interesting ways. Her work is held privately, and has been exhibited in group exhibitions around Australia and NZ.

In 2013 she won the Yen Female Art Award and was selected as a finalist for the 2013 Agendo Award. She was also shortlisted for a number of pretigious awards including the 2018 Contemporary Art Prize, 2016 Hornsby Prince, 2014, 2013 & 2012 Lethbridge 10000 Small Scale Art Award, 2012 Toyota Community Spirity Award, the Box Hill Community Arts Centre 2011 Biennial Art Competition and the prestigious 2011 Metro Art Award.
